The flag of Nevada was adopted in
1929. The flag contains a blue field with a star on the upper right
hand corner, under the star is the word “Nevada” And above the star a ribbon that says “Battle Born”. Below the
star also is two sprigs of green sagebrush with yellow flowers. The
words “Battle Born” reflect Nevada becoming a state during the American Civil War. The green sagebrush is Nevada’s State flag.
