A high qality picture image of South Korea's
Flag

The South Korean flag was adopted on March 6,
1883. The flag contains a white field with a red and blue
taegeuk (“yin-yang”). On each of the corners of the flag
there are four black trigrams. The white on the flag
represent the “cleanliness of the people”. The taegeuk
symbolizes everything in the universe with the “Yin” (the
negative) is blue and the “yang” (positive) with both in
perfect balance. The four trigrams stand for the four
Chinese philosophical ideas in regards to the universe of
harmony, symmetry, balance and circulation.
