Flag of SAN MARINO
A high qality picture image of San Marino's
Flag

The San Marino Flag was adopted on April 6,
1862. The flag is divided into two horizontal bands
colored white on the top and blue on the bottom. In the
center of the flag is the coat of arms of San Marino. On
the center of the coat of arms is a shield with a
depiction of three green mountains with three silver
towers on them. The towers are decorated with a weather
vane with a silver ostrich feather. The three towers
symbolize the three towers of San Marino; La Guaita, La
Cesta and La Montale. At the bottom of the shield there
is a white banner with the word “Libertas” (freedom). On
the sides of the shield is a oak and laurel branch
that stand for the stability of the republic
and the defense of liberty. At the very top of the
shield there is a crown to symbolize San Marino’s
sovereignty.
