Flag of LEBANON
A high qality picture image of the Lebanon Flag

The flag of Lebanon was adopted on December 7, 1943 after gaining independence from France.
The flag contains
two horizontal red strips on the top and the bottom which are separated by a white strip in the
center. The red color represents the bloodshed in the struggle
for liberty while the white strip symbolizes peace and the snow covered mountains of Lebanon. At the center of the flag
there is a green cedar tree the stands for Immortality and steadiness. The cedar has also been a symbol of the country for close to 2,000 years
since the time of King Solomon.
