A high qality picture image of Kenya's Flag

The Kenyan flag contains three horizontal bands colored black red and green.  After Kenya gained independence from the British, the white fimbriation was added to symbolize peace.  The black on the flag represent the black majority (people), the red represents the bloodshed during the fight for freedom and the green for the natural wealth of the people.  The Maasai shield and two spears were added to symbolize the defense of peace and freedom.  The flag of Kenya was adopted on December 12, 1963.
