Flag of IVORY COAST

The flag of the Ivory Coast was adopted in 1959.  The flag contained the colors similar to those of the flag of Niger, who the Ivory Coast had an alliance with.  The colors of the flag are orange, white and green.  The orange on the flag symbolize the land and the savannah to the north of the country.  The white symbolizes peace and the green stands for hope but also the forests to the south of the country.
