The flag of Guyana is green with a large yellow triangle with a white border and a smaller red triangle with a black boarder. The green on the flag represents agriculture and the forests of the country.  The white symbolizes the rivers and water while the gold stands for the country's mineral wealth.  The black color stands for endurance and the color red signifies dynamism.  The national flag was adopted in 1966.
