Flag of EQUATORIAL GUINEA

The flag of Equatorial Guinea contains three horizontal lines and a blue triangle on the hoist. The top band is green with white in the middle and color red at the bottom with the national coat of arms on the middle of the flag.  The green on the flag stands for the natural resources and the jungles of the country.  The blue represents the sea that connects the main country to the islands.  The white symbolizes peace and the red symbolizes the fight for independence. The coat of arms is a grey shield with a silk cotton tree.  At the bottom is a banner with the national motto “Unidad, Paz , Justicia” (Unity, Peace, Justice).  On the top of the coat of arms are 6 six-pointed stars that stand for the island and the mainland.
