Flag of EAST TIMOR
A high qality image of the flag of East
Timor

The flag of East Timor contains a red field with
two triangles overlapping each other, a large yellow
triangle and inside a smaller black triangle.
Inside the black triangle there is a white star
also known as “the light that guides”. The red on
the flag stands for the fight for
liberation. The yellow triangle represents the
traces of colonialism in East Timor`s history. The
black triangle represents the obscurantism that needs to
be overcome and the white on the star represents
peace. The national flag of East Timor was adopted
on May 20, 2002.
