The flag of Colorado was adopted on June 5, 1911. The flag contains three horizontal strips colored
blue and white. On the center of the flag is a red “C” with a yellow disk in the center. The blue on the flag
symbolize the blue sky of the state and the white represents the snow covered mountains. The yellow disk
symbolizes the states sunshine and the red stands for the earth.
