A high qality image of the flag of Chechnya

The flag of Chechnya was adopted in 2004. The flag contains three horizontal bands, a larger green band which represents Islam, a small white band in the middle and a red band at the bottom. On the side of the hoist there is a vertical white band with the national ornament. The design has four golden scroll shapes.  Though this flag was introduced in 2004 by the government there are several independent flags used by opposition forces and Chechen people throughout the world.
