Flag of CEARA, BRAZIL
A high qality image of the Ceara flag in
Brazil, Ceara state in Brazil

The flag of Ceara was adopted on August 25,
1922. The flag is similar to the flag of Brazil except
that it has the state's coat of arms in the center. The
coat of arms was adopted in 1897. The flag was designed
when a businessman made it a custom to fly his wife’s
home state flag and then he decided to add his state’s
flag of Ceara. He then realized that his state did
not have a flag so he added the state's coat of arms to
the Brazilian flag and made his own flag.
