The flag of Botswana is colored light blue with a black horizontal band in the center with a white fimbriation.  The blue color symbolizes water, or rain which is in references to the motto on the national coat of arm “Pula” (let there be rain).  The black and white bands stand for racial harmony.  The Botswana flag was adopted on September 30, 1966.
