Bhutan

Adopted in 1965, the flag of Bhutan contains two
colors, yellow and orange with a white dragon along the
division line. The colors are divided diagonally forming
two triangles. The yellow symbolizes the power of the
monarchy and the orange symbolizes the Buddhist religion.
The dragon symbolizes “Druk” the thunder dragon of
Bhutanese mythology and represents Bhutan`s local Tibetan
name “The Land of the Dragon”. The dragon grasping the
Jewels stands for the country’s wealth.
