The flag of Bahia contains three horizontal bands colored white and red.  On the canton is a blue square with a white triangle in the center.  The colors of the flag are the same colors used on the flag of the Bahian revolutionaries of 1798.  The triangle was the symbol of the conspiracy of the people of Minas Gerais in 1789.
