The Flag of Acre contains the colors green and yellow which are separated diagonally, forming two triangles.  At the top of the hoist is a red star that symbolizes the light that guided those who worked to make Acre a state of Brazil.  The green color stands for hope and the yellow represents peace.  The flag of Acre was adopted on March 15, 1921.
